5 minutes walk to three different beaches with excellent, safe swimming on each. Several water sports options. Lifeguards in season, food and drink available on all.
The beaches are safe and sheltered and all have lifeguards in the peak season. There are some lovely shops along the sea front and some of the best ice cream parlours in the south of France.
There is plenty to do in the area – take the 5 minute ferry to Isle de Bendor (the home of Ricard Pastis) and walk around the island, visit the art gallery, swim off the rocks or take in a lunch at one of the beach restaurants. Take a boat trip along the famous “Calanques”, the stunning cliffs that lie between Bandol and Marseille. Visit the many Bandol vineyards – Bandol has its own microclimate and AOC and produces excellent whites, roses and some of the best and most expensive red wines in France.
In summer you can try waterskiing, banana boat and donuting or parasailing. There are plenty of schools where you can learn to scuba dive or just snorkel. The Paul Ricard circuit at Le Castellet for petrol heads is 20km away – far enough so you can’t hear it at all but can drive up if you want to watch a race. Only 5 minutes out of town is the Dolce Fregate golf course, one of the top courses in France with one of the most spectacular landscapes in Europe.
For the kids (and adults!) there is Aqualand in nearby St Cyr sur Mer with over 11 wicked water slides for everyone to enjoy. And of course there are lots of places to explore – Les Gorges du Verdon, the perched villages of Le Castellet and La Cadiere (think Russell Crowe in A Good Life when he helps out as a waiter in the restaurant – they really are like that!). And within an hour’s drive you have Marseille, St Tropez and some of the best known resorts in Provence.
Distances: 50 km Marseilles, 17 km Toulon, 86 km St. Tropez, 160 km Nice, 70 km Aix-en-Provence, 140 km Gorges de Verdon, 140 km Arles, 170 km Nimes.

We are just traveling home after a perfect week based in Bandol. The property suited our needs completely. Our kids (aged 9, 6 and 6) absolutely loved the swimming pool. We were worried it would be too small but not at all. A great size for pre-breakfast and post-excursion dips!
And the beautiful terrace absolutely made the holiday – fabulous flowers (including a heady Jasmine), and plenty of adjustable shade made it the perfect place to sit at any time of day. We ate every meal outside and barbecued every evening. Simple and delicious.
The area is wonderful too – so many great places to visit within a 30 min drive.
All in all one of the most relaxing family holidays we’ve ever had.
Really nice, well-appointed villa. Good location within Bandol. Easy walk down the hill to town/port/beach. Villa is well equipped with everything you’d need and it’s nice to get beach towels as well as house towels provided. The terrace is a real sun trap but there is plenty of shade also. The pool is a good size for cooling off or having a splash around. There are several good beaches around the town, an easy walk. Bandol is lovely. A food market every morning means you can purchase all you need. Great selection of restaurants but the villa has a really good BBQ too. And the local rose wine is excellent. Overall was a great villa in a very nice area.
A well-appointed little hideaway in a beautiful seaside town. Perfect for a small family or couple getaway, Bandol is a very ‘French’ resort (as in few English/Dutch/German voices heard) which suited us down to the ground. Martin was incredibly helpful and maintained good communication through the booking process and beyond. The resort had everything you’d want in a relaxing seaside holiday – perfect weather, good child-friendly beaches, pretty fishing boats, great shops, a fabulous market and a choice of good restaurants. They neighbouring resort of Sanary sur Mer is also worth a visit and don’t miss a visit (via boat or hike) to the Calanques National Park and the amazing inlets and to the pretty medieval village of Le Castellet which is only hop skip and jump away from Bandol.
The house is modern, light and airy. Bedrooms are small(ish) without being cramped but all have excellent storage space to stash away your suitcases and clothes so there’s no clutter. Building design means the house doesn’t get too hot in the sun and the patio and pool are just perfect. The living area is open plan with plenty of comfy seats and a very well put together kitchen area with all the cooking kit anyone could ask for.
In all, an excellent holiday home in a great little resort. We’ve holidayed in France just about every year for the past 20 years and for the price, this accommodation is up there with the best we’ve used.
We stayed at this villa for a week in August and really enjoyed our stay. The house is spacious enough for a family and beautifully decorated. It’s very well equipped, with plenty of everything (towels etc…). Our 5 year old loved the pool and the house is very well located, meaning that everything is on your doorstep. Bandol is a fantastic resort!! We would highly recommend both Bandol and this gorgeous property.
Light, airy and very roomy.
We arrived and stayed as a four using, two in the upstairs bedroom and two in the downstairs; plenty of room and very French with classic shutters on the windows.
Great facilities and we put the BBQ to good use, having picked up local meat and delicacies from the market in town.
Would recommend to families (Bandol has so much to do!) or couples looking for a great chance to get away in a beautiful location.
